Plants terrestrial, autotrophic. Pseudobulbs ovoid, small, 1-2.5 × 1-1.5 cm, enclosed in leaf bases. Leaves 4-7, lorate, 20-40(-60) × 0.5-0.9 cm, articulate toward base, margin usually slightly serrate. | |
Inflorescence arising from near base of pseudobulb, erect, usually 2-5 cm, shorter than leaves; rachis usually 1-flowered; floral bracts 40-50 × 7-10 mm, exceeding ovary, loosely embracing ovary. Flowers scented, variable in color, usually yellowish green with purplish brown venation, sometimes olive-green, membranous; pedicel and ovary 20-40 mm. Sepals suboblong to oblong-obovate, 25-40 × 8-12 mm, apex obtuse to acute. Petals spreading forward or loosely embracing column, obovate-elliptic to oblong-ovate, 17-30 × 8-12 mm; lip subovate, 14-28 mm, obscurely 3-lobed; lateral lobes erect, not fused to basal margins of column; mid-lobe strongly recurved, broadly ovate, 7-10 × 7-10 mm, margin slightly undulate; disk minutely papillate, with 2 longitudinal lamellae extending from base of lip to base of mid-lobe; lamellae convergent in apical half and forming a short tube.
