Stems : Stems cylindrical and slightly flattened, with several nodes, enveloped by striated sheaths, or ripped fibrous sheath residues. | ||
Leaves : Leaves alternate in two rows, papery, several, lanceolate, apex unequally dichotomous, base with sheath holding stem.

Flowers : raceme, from top of new stem, with several flowers, flowers pale green, spreading, ca. 1.5 cm in diameter ; bracts membranous lanceolate, apex acute, pedicel with ovary about 0.7 mm long ; middle sepal lanceolate, length 0.7 mm, width 0.2 mm, apex acute ; the back of petals and sepals have a main vein slightly uplifted ; petals linear, ca. 0.7 mm long, ca. 0.1 mm wide, apex acute ; lateral sepals lanceolate, base wider, about 0.9 mm long, about 0.3 mm wide, apex acute ; the calyx sac is oblong, about 0.3 mm in length, with 3 cleft lips. Both sides of the cleft are half-moon shaped and the edge is entire. The middle lobe is nearly oblong, with three folds extending from the base to the top. The top is black and the edge is wavy, rolling inward from each other. Stamen column light green, dorsal vein slightly uplifted ; medicine cap white ; pistils green and smooth.
