尖唇石斛 Dendrobium linguella

Stem : Stem drooping, cylindrical, about 50-100cm long, about 3-5mm thick, sometimes the upper part is more or less curved, unbranched, with multiple nodes, the internode length is about 4.5cm, the internodes are almost all covered by gray-white persistent leaf sheath ( fresh young leaf sheath is olive green, with nearly purple spots or plaques ) ; light yellow after drying.

Leaves : Leaves biseriate, lanceolate or narrowly oval, about 7.2-11.2 cm long, about 1.65-2 cm wide, apex acute or acuminate, base with stem sheath.

Flowers : Racemes are usually several, from the upper part of the old stems with fallen leaves or leaves. The inflorescence axis is slender, about 1.5-5cm long, many folds curved, sparse 1-6 flowers ; peduncle 5-10 mm ca. 2-8 mm, base covered with several membranous sheaths ; bracts membranous, ovate- lanceolate, ca. 5-8 mm long, ca. 2-4 mm wide, apex acute ; pedicel and ovary ca. 1.3-1.6 cm ; flowers spreading, sepals and petals pale pink ; middle sepals triangular, about 1.7 cm long, about 6 mm wide, with veins ; petals lanceolate, ca. 1.6 mm long, ca. 5 mm wide, apex caudal, veined ; lateral sepals oblique ovate triangle, about 1.8-2cm long, about 4-5mm wide, apex tail tip, veined, base oblique ; calyx sac subflate, ca. 8 mm long ; the lip is white and nearly ovate-triangular, about 1.8-1.9 cm long. The anterior part is narrow and the apex is acuminate and light pink. The base has claws. The upper part is covered with white short hairs except for the claws and both sides of the lip disc. Stamens white, ca. 2 mm long, lower part enlarged ; the stylet foot is long and wide, about 8 mm in length, curved forward, with a joint at the end connected with the labial flap. The upper part of the stylet foot is densely covered with light purple hairs. Hats dark purple, oblong, densely papillate, apex slightly concave.
