扭瓣石斛Dendrobium tortile

Stem : the stem is slightly wavy, fleshy hypertrophy, rod-shaped slightly flat, the upper and middle parts of the stem are the thickest, the upper part is greatly bent in the shape of 'Zhi ', gradually refined downward, and suddenly expanded to the base. The stem is surrounded by gray persistent leaf sheaths, or the remaining leaf sheaths are torn fibrous.

Leaves : Leaves alternate in two rows, leathery, oval, apex obtuse and unequally lobed, about 10-5cm long, about 1.6-2.3cm wide ; leaf surface midrib depression, leaf back micro uplift ; leaf base sheath with caging stem, with irregular purple spots or with few longitudinal lines.

Flowers : racemes, extracted from the nodes above the middle of the stem, one or more inflorescences ; opposite to leaves, with 2-3 flowers ; stem base is covered by a nearly white membranous sheath, pedicels together with ovary about 2-3 cm long ; bracts membranous, nearly oval ; the front end is blunt ; length about 0.5 mm, width about 0.5 mm. Flower diameter about 5.6-7.5 m, sepals and petals yellowish green dyed pink halo ; the middle sepals are long lanceolate, the apex is obtuse, about 3-4cm long, about 0.8-1.2cm wide ; petals long lanceolate, wavy margin, apex acute and slightly twisted, about 3.5-4 cm long, about 1.1 cm wide ; lateral sepals long lanceolate, apex acute, greatly twisted, about 4cm long, about 0.8mm wide ; the lip flap is nearly oblong after flattening. There are dark purple plaques on both sides of the lip flap. The base is narrowed and both sides are surrounded by stamen columns to form a near trumpet shape. Stamen grass green. Medicine cap dark purple, nearly hemispherical.
