Rhizome creeping, ca. 1 mm thick. Roots are issued from the nodes of the rhizome and the base of the pseudobulb. Pseudobulbs aggregated, flattened ovoid, 1.0-1.8 cm in diameter, surface wrinkled after drying, 2 apical leaves. No leaves at flowering stage.

Leaves are papery, ovate-lanceolate, 4-6 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide in the middle, apex acuminate, base narrow, nearly sessile, first flower then leaf, new leaves emerge after flowering.

Scapes emanate from base of pseudobulb, slender, 4-8 cm long, ca. 1-2 mm thick, enveloped by 2-3 sheaths below middle, membranous sheath, tubular, 5-6 mm long, apex acute ; raceme 2-4 cm, pendulous from top of scape, densely most florets ; bracts subulate, 3-4 mm long, apex acute ; pedicel and ovary green, ca. 3 mm in length ; flowers dark purplish red, ca. 4 mm long ; 3 sepals dark purplish red, ovate triangle, subequal, ca. 4 mm long, ca. 1.3 mm wide, dense white slender cilia on the back, a band-like appendage on the back near the tip, ca. 6-10 mm long, formed by 6-8 white nearly transparent longitudinal folds ca. 0.2 mm wide around the central axis, central axis purple ; both sides of the sepals are attached to the column foot respectively ; petals small, membranous, sickle - lanceolate, ca. 2 mm long, middle width ca. 0.5 mm, midvein with a purplish red stripe ; lip flap ca. 1. 5 mm long, purple-black, fleshy, tongue-shaped, entire, apex obtuse, in the upper part outward bent, base with grooves, and stamen foot end connection to form immobile joints ; stamens ca. 1 mm high, ca. 0.5 mm wide, yellowish green ; stigma tooth drill, about 0.6 mm long ; stamen column foot triangular, apex pointed, 0.5 mm long, with purple patches, base yellow ; medicament cap semicircular, about 0.2 mm wide, yellow, blunt front, top middle with dark purple mastoid ; pollen masses 4, 2 pairs, each unequal.
