Stems : Rhizome creeping, ca. 5 mm thick, sheathed when young, old fiber remaining on nodes sheathed, 1 pseudobulb at about 6 cm interval ; roots from rhizome nodes with pseudobulbs. Pseudobulbs ovate, 2-3 cm long, middle part thick 1.3 cm, apex 1 leaf, base by sheath decay after residual hard straight fiber, dry after yellow, with longitudinal edge. | ||
Leaves : Leaves leathery, narrowly oblong, 11-16 cm long, middle part 2.2-2.5 cm wide, apex obtuse and slightly 2-lobed, base with short stem, sunken in upper middle rib, back bulge ; petiole folded, 1-2 cm long. The base has a short handle, in the upper rib subsidence, back uplift ; petiole folded, 1-2 cm long. | ||
Flowers : Scape extracted from base of pseudobulb, erect, 8-11 cm long, umbel with 2 flowers ; inflorescence stalk 2 mm thick, 2 sheaths ; sheath membrane, cylindrical, the upper part is longer, 1.5-2cm long, the tip is nearly sharp ; bracts narrowly ovate, 1-1.5 cm long, apex short acuminate ; pedicel and ovary 3 cm long. Flowers large, dark yellow with reddish brown veins ; middle sepals ovate, 1.8 cm long, middle 8 mm wide, apex obtuse and apiculate, base slightly narrowed, margin entire, with 8 veins ; lateral sepals are oblong, 4.3 cm long, nearly equal in width, about 8 mm wide. The apex is slightly obtuse. The base is attached to the stylar foot. The margin is entire, with 5-7 veins. The base is twisted above and separated from each other except for the base margin. Petals subovate - triangular, ca. 1 cm long, 6 mm wide at middle, apex truncate and apiculate, margin entire, with 8 veins ; the lip flap is ovate lanceolate, about 1.3 cm long. The base is connected to the stamen column to form an active joint. The posterior half is folded on both sides and has eyelashes on the edge. The two sides are densely covered with fine mastoids. The middle part is suddenly narrowed and bent down. The apex is nearly sharp, and the lip disc has a keel ridge. The column is about 3 mm long ; the pistil wing extends forward in the middle of the pistil into an obtuse triangle ; stamen teeth subnarrow - oblong, ca. 2 mm long together with a tip of apex, ca. 1 mm wide at base ; medicinal cap hemispherical, front edge comb-like, covered with fine papillae.
