Pseudobulbs erect, cylindrical, 20-60 cm long, 5-15 mm thick, lower part by 3-4 4-6 cm long cylindrical sheath, upper alternate 3-6 leaves, with most nodes ; internode length 2 ~ 10cm. | |
The leaf is elliptic or obovate lanceolate, 10 ~ 30 cm long, 3 ~ 9 cm wide. The apex is acute or acuminate, the base is constricted into a sheath of a stalk, and the edge is wavy. Leaf sheaths interlace with each other to form pseudostems. | |
Inflorescences lateral to middle node of stem or leaf axil above middle, ca. 30 cm long, with 2 scaly sheaths 2-4 cm long, glabrous ; inflorescence axis slender, many twists and turns, about 9cm long, sparse few flowers ; bracts oblong lanceolate, concave, glabrous, early fall ; flowers not very open ; the sepals are similar, oblong, ivory white, 3.5 ~ 4 cm long, 5 ~ 10 mm wide, slightly blunt apex, 5 veins, glabrous. Petals lanceolate or oblanceolate, 3-3.5 cm long, 3-5 mm wide near apex, obtuse apex, with 1 main vein and a few lateral veins, glabrous ; lip valve densely reddish brown spots, attached to the base of the pistil column, outline obovate triangle, approximately equal to the sepal, 3-lobed ; lateral lobes erect, embracing calyx column, apex obtuse or rounded ; middle lobe nearly square or wide obovate, apex slightly concave and with a short tip, edge wavy ; lip disc with 3 ~ 4 ridges, no hair on the ridge, ridge on both sides with sparse white long hairs, from the thin cylindrical, white or yellow, 1 ~ 1.6cm long, about 2mm thick, blunt end, slightly curved below the middle ; stamens slender, 2.2 cm long, upper part enlarged, both sides of the base densely covered with long hairs. Stamen beak triangular, uncracked, about 1.5 mm long, apex obtuse ; front end of medicine cap narrow, beak shape, above sparsely covered with short hair ; pollen masses broadly obovate, ca. 1. 5 mm long.
